- Even Santa went digital for Christmas 2025, sending sleigh drones to deliver gifts and giving the reindeer a well-earned rest.
- Brand partners received a creative, personalised unboxing experience and a chance to share festive treats among their teams.
- As n-fuze headed into our 20th year, this was a chance to start the celebrations by featuring a specially designed graphic.
Throughout the year n-fuze brand partners count on us to deliver creatively, and what better time than the Christmas holidays to deliver more than great design work.
In 2026 we celebrate twenty years of n-fuze creativity, so we know a thing or two about tradition! Every year, we design and send our client brand partners bespoke printed Christmas gift boxes that are packed with festive treats. You might also take part in this annual custom with your own clients? It’s a perfect chance to show off your personality, sprinkle in a little humour and mischief, and connect with a whole lot of cheer to show your appreciation.
The idea sleighed
The retail world’s embracing digital more each year, and so are our clients. Have you noticed there’s a growing appetite for digital services? Our own figures show a 23% increase in digital jobs through n-fuze between 2024 and 2025, and that number’s steadily increasing every year. Brand marketers are looking to modernise and take advantage of emerging technologies in-store, and we took the same approach to this year’s gift box!
By starting out with an internal discovery session, we uncovered some great ideas that communicated this year’s message. Working through concept sketches and developing the idea led to our futuristic twist on Santa’s sleigh, only this year, the reindeer have been given the night off. We arrived at a sleek, ‘drone-powered’ delivery sleigh with the numberplate SLEIGHX, to give a hint of the lack of reindeer. Also featured in the design were a set of propellers and a hidden battery hatch, along with a cockpit set to auto-pilot, giving Santa time to relax with the reindeer.
The digital element? The boxes were slapped with a ‘bumper sticker’ containing a QR code that took the viewer to a special, festive animation created by our in-house multimedia team. The 3D visualised scene featured the sleigh drone launching from the n-fuze oasts and taking flight in readiness to deliver its treats. In true n-fuze style, the animation contained little details, or easter eggs, like a cheeky snowman and a few of the studio dogs (known as n-fuzzers) to raise a smile!
Unwrapping the box
The sleigh drone was just the start, but it wouldn’t be a delivery from Santa without his traditional cloth sack. The sleigh carried an n-fuze branded bag, and who doesn’t love some branded merch, each containing a decorated gift box filled with delicious, sharable snacks designed for teams to enjoy together. To add a further personal touch, we included cards containing a message from our Creative Partnerships Director, Colin, and handwritten notes from each n-fuzer to their client brand partners.
In an extra nod to 20 years of n-fuze, 2006-2026, the decorated gift box was wrapped in a repeated pattern design of a special logo that was created by our design team to mark the occasion and an upcoming year of celebrations.
Thoughtful design throughout
n-fuze creativity is always intentional - the packaging was produced with the same care and finish as all our work with premium materials and clever, careful design touches to surprise and delight the receiver. Through close collaboration with our Account Development Team, Head of Marketing, and senior designers, every part was made to remind people that we’re all about partnerships and not just projects.
Alice Tebbutt - Account Development TeamWorking on the n-fuze Christmas Boxes for December 2025 was an incredibly fun and rewarding project. We always love the opportunity to explore new creative ideas for our boxes, whether we’re designing for ourselves or for our amazing clients!
A key highlight was developing the sleigh concept, complete with Santa’s personalised n-fuze bag. We added a modern twist by reimagining the sleigh as a drone instead, “made in n-fuze,” rather than being pulled by Santa’s traditional reindeer. This fresh take allowed us to push the creative direction while still keeping the festive spirit at its core.
Designing the structure and artwork entirely from scratch is always one of the most exciting parts of the process. We wanted the gold metal frame around the sleigh to have a strong sense of depth and realism, so we collaborated closely with our Multimedia team, who created the frame in 3D. This gave us a solid base to build upon and enhance further in Photoshop, elevating the final design.
We also paid close attention to the finer details, such as the number plate and rear sticker, ensuring they had genuine depth, texture and subtle worn elements to make them feel more realistic and tactile.
Overall, it was an amazing project to work on and it’s always so much fun bringing new ideas to life and creating something special to surprise our clients with!
The response? Very jolly
The feedback soon snowballed and brand partner client teams shared festive thank you messages - reminders that on the end of every creative brief and every design delivered is a team of valued people. As we step into our 20th year, we’re more focused than ever on making our presence, and our presents truly felt. This isn’t about ticking a seasonal box, it’s an extension of who we are - playful, thoughtful, and always ready to deliver something a little unexpected.
A big big thank you for our goodies, what a fun idea with the sleigh :) The team enjoyed them a lot.
