- In an industry where the realities of parenting can be easily overlooked, n-fuze saw an opportunity to do things differently.
- We empower parents to thrive at home and at work without compromise by offering flexible support structures.
- This approach provides better wellbeing, loyalty and long-term success so parenthood and progress can co-exist.
The path to parenthood is a life-changing journey, but let’s face it, often a career balancing one, with family responsibilities becoming like climbing a mountain without the right gear. When I first joined n-fuze, I knew we could do more to support our people on this journey. The first time I read our existing policies, I thought, “we can make this better”. Today, I’m proud to share that we’ve launched our new Parenthood guidance, built with care, thoughtfulness, and direct input from the people it affects most: our n-fuzers.
At n-fuze, we’re not just making policies - we’re creating meaningful changes that reflect our values of trust, pride, unity, and creativity. And this launch is a perfect example of how collaboration can lead to better outcomes for everyone.
Why do parenthood policies matter?
The early days of parenthood are filled with joy, challenges, and major adjustments. Yet, for many working parents, they’re also marked by stress, navigating limited leave, financial pressures, or a lack of support. Women in particular, often bear the brunt, facing career setbacks or tough choices between work and family. I’ve seen this time and again.
Matt Brown, FounderAt n-fuze, we believe no one should have to choose between being a great parent and pursuing their career.
It’s why family support isn’t just a nice-to-have, we view it as an essential to building a workplace where people thrive. Our new Parenthood guidance reflects this belief, ensuring that every path to parenthood is supported with care and understanding.
Importantly, we wanted to ensure there was a strong element of trust built into our guidance so that those embarking on their parenthood journey know that n-fuze will have their back when they need us most.
How we made it happen
When we set out to redesign our Parenthood guidance, we didn’t start with assumptions. We started by listening. Over the course of several months, a volunteer project team of n-fuzers dug into the details of our existing policies, explored best practices across industries, and shared personal insights about what they’d like to see improved.
Emily Bartlett, Project ManagerAs someone who’s experienced the challenges of balancing work and family, I was proud to be a part of n-fuze stepping up to make parenthood a little less stressful for everyone here.
This wasn’t about a top-down directive; it was about crafting something that truly works for our people. From addressing complex topics like IVF and baby loss to simplifying the language so the guidance is clear and accessible, every decision was made with n-fuzers’ real needs in mind.
Key Features of the new guidance
Here’s a snapshot of what’s new in our Parenthood guidance:
- Comprehensive coverage: From IVF and adoption to pregnancy, maternity, paternity, and baby loss, we’ve addressed every path to parenthood.
- Improved maternity leave: Mothers and primary caregivers now receive six months of full pay and an additional three months at half pay.
- Fully paid paternity leave: Fathers and second caregivers get two fully paid weeks to bond with their families without financial stress.
- Simplified and accessible: We’ve stripped away jargon to make this guidance clear, practical, and easy to follow.
Jordan Spencer, Client Services LeadThis isn’t just a policy - it’s a reflection of who we are as an agency. Supporting every path to parenthood shows we truly value and understand our people’s journeys.
What makes this guidance special isn’t just the policies themselves, it’s the way they came to life. A huge thank you to the volunteer n-fuzers who gave their time and insights to help shape this transformation: Jordan Spencer, Emily Bartlett, Jessica Read, Megan Cleasby, Hannah Clare and Has Dyason. You didn’t just contribute ideas; you made a real difference for all n-fuzers, now and in the future.
By involving our people in the process, we’ve not only created better guidance, but also strengthened our culture of trust and unity.
Has Dyasine, Studio Admin LeadBeing part of this project felt empowering. Knowing our voices shaped policies that will make such a difference to our teammates’ lives is incredibly rewarding.
Launching our new Parenthood guidance is a proud milestone, but it’s only the beginning. At n-fuze, we’re committed to continuously reviewing and improving our policies to ensure they meet the evolving needs of our people.
To everyone who made this possible: thank you. And to every n-fuzer, past, present, and future, we’re here to support you, every step of the way.
