When pup-and-coming heroes meet n-fuzers, good things happen

  • A curious encounter with our studio neighbours sparked a meaningful connection for charity, rooted in community spirit.
  • n-fuzers offered up their warm laps for an afternoon of learning and looking for ways to support the diabetic dogs charity.
  • The collaboration strengthened our community ties while embodying the n-fuze values and people-first initiatives.

After taking in a few parcels for our neighbours next door, curiosity got the better of us.

We’d noticed a regular parade of adorable puppies bouncing in and out of their building and we just had to find out more. A quick hello and a few exchanged emails later, and we had ourselves a meet and greet between the hypo hounds team (tag names), some excited n-fuzers - Sam, Morgan, Colin and Rob, and two incredible diabetic assistance dogs in training.

During our visit to Hypo Hounds we were in for a treat! The recently napping puppies, little Luke and Leia, were soon in our eager hands, thrilled to meet new faces. We provided some cosy laps while a skilled Hypo Hounds trainer wowed us with a demonstration of how these pups will be prepped for their life-saving assistive roles.

We’re buzzing about building a fantastic relationship with our neighbours and have plenty of fun partnership activities in the works to support their amazing mission. If you know someone who could benefit, reach out to them directly on 01233 756555 or if you’d like to lend your support, head over to the Hypo Hounds website

A bit more about Hypo Hounds

Hypo Hounds train dogs to detect and alert their type 1 diabetic owners to dangerous changes in blood sugar levels (known as hypos), helping to prevent potentially life-threatening hypoglycaemic attacks. These clever canines can also be trained to detect hyperglycaemia (hypers), when blood sugar levels spike too high. The charity’s services primarily focus on empowering children with type 1 diabetes, giving them the independence and freedom they deserve, though their support is available to adults with a clinical need as well.

At n-fuze, we’re all about diving into our community and backing causes that matter. Since the start of 2024, our close-knit crew has rallied together to support a bunch of incredible charities. We’ve donated everything from clothing, furnishings, and home entertainment collections to FareShare and Cancer Research Sheppey, to those leftover holiday chocolate tubs - we sent a whole stack to Greene King pubs for their Tubs2Pubs campaign.

Our n-fuzers also brightened the lives of furry friends by gifting dog toys, bowls, and towels to the RSPCA. Following a call for donations, we delivered bags of kids’ toys and books to Demelza. And let’s not forget the 16 bras we’ve donated to Against Breast Cancer! During Red Nose Day, our team got in on the fun with a ‘guess the number of sweets’ and ‘name the capybara’ contest, raising £100 for this amazing cause.

With Movember on the horizon, it’s almost time for the n-fuze tradition of growing out those moustaches (with varying degrees of success!) to support yet another worthy charity.

Got an idea for how n-fuze can make a difference? We’d love to hear from you - reach out and let’s make it happen!
